Clarity of Sight is the first single taken from the forthcoming Erskine Lynas album, the aptly titled ‘A Menagerie For One. Written and recorded in 2018 it continues where his warmly received debut record (released in 2017 by Local Action) left off, this time though there’s a conscious effort to make music without the reliance of bright synthesisers, instead the more muted musical palette puts an increased focus on Lynas’ songwriting.

Clarity of Sight is a centrepiece of sorts and sees an extended piano intro accompanied by a filtered loop; part distant fireworks, part drum kit falling down the stairs, the song itself an attempt to give the impression of a band playing together in the same room.
